About

Professor Mohammad Faramarzi chairs the Academy and leads its otology and skull base program. Over more than two decades he has built a surgical and research practice centered on the diseased middle ear and the lateral skull base, with particular depth in cholesteatoma surgery, ossicular reconstruction, and mastoid obliteration.

His clinical work spans tympanoplasty, ossiculoplasty, stapedotomy, and endoscopic ear surgery, alongside endoscopic approaches to the anterior skull base. He has mentored a generation of fellows and maintains active collaborations across rhinology and computational modeling of the upper airway.

He has authored numerous peer-reviewed studies and serves on editorial and review panels in otology and head and neck surgery.
